Alaska-Seattle Navy Reunion 1998
Welcome to my trip to Seattle, WA and the Alaska Inland Waterway Cruise with the navy Reunion in September of 1998.
What a great adventure it was. We started out with the reunion for the three days in Seattle with tours, meetings, dedications and ending up with the wonderful banquet with many distinguished speakers. Then on to Vancouver, Canada to catch our ship to Alaska. Vancouver is a beautiful city. Just wish we had more time there. Our first stop was the capital of Alaska, Juneau - It was also nice, with a lot to see. The strange thing about that city is you can only get there by sea or air. No roads from the outside lead to it. The next stop was the town of Ketchikan and the Great Glacier Bay. Natural beauty at it's best. Our last stop was the Skagway. It also had a lot of interesting things to see. My favorite was the Alaskan Indian and how they made totem poles. Now put your snow shoes on and join me for the time of your life. Enjoy, Dick
