WELCOME TO THE 2002 NAVY REUNION IN MOBILE ALABAMA
AND THE GULF COAST.

This was a special place for most of us sailors as we had advanced training in this area before we went overseas. We started out with a trip to the John C Stennis Space Center in MS. Where they test the main engines for the space program. Then on to the Battleship Park where they have the USS Alabama on display. There we had our memorial service for all lives we lost in all the wars. Then on to Pensacola Fl. to see the Navy Air Base where many of us had our advanced training and view the Navy Air Museum The next day we headed to New Orleans LA. To the new D Day Museum and the French quarters, which was cut short due to the coming of hurricane Isidore, the next day we had our general meeting, then a lot of us left as Isidore was closing in on us. Many of the brave sailors rode out the storm and stayed for the banquet. But all in all everyone had a great time and will look forward to next years affair in Norfolk, VA home port for many. Now drop your anchor and enjoy the trip.  Dick Fleck
